My Guide to Palmetto Florida

So yes, this is a shameless plug for our historic Palmetto Airbnb.  But!  I do get this question quite a bit, so here we go, where to eat, what to do, and well, you know where I’ll say to sleep (;

Favorite Restaurants in Palmetto

We love Riverfront for dining right along the Manatee river.  They have a good little happy hour too!

D’s is run by the sweetest family.  I love their skillets for breakfast, and their mediterranean food for lunch.

Tenth Street Coffee is a great spot.  with a cute wall mural!  You can grab breakfast or lunch and the coffee is so good!  My kids love their Unicorn Milk.

Popi’s Place is a great greek spot and is also run by a sweet local fam

Abuelas is open for lunch!  It’s our spot we meet our dad for lunch.  Love their balsamic salad with all the veggies, their cuban sandwich, and the big pitcher of iced tea.

The Clam House is a great spot.  Whole in the wall, but you can’t miss the fresh seafood!

Hideko has some delicious sushi

Demi’s Noodle house is my actual favorite place to eat.  I love their pho, their Bahn mi, their homemade dumplings, their chicken fried rice.  Actually I don’t think there’s a single dish I don’t love there.

There are several Mexican restaurants in town but I think the best tacos are the lunch special at Fresh Market Palmetto.  (it’s not the fresh market you’re thinking of!).

Favorite things to do in Palmetto

I love a morning or evening walk in historic palmetto along the riverfront.

Palmetto Historical Park gives tours, and there is also an agricultural tour to do as well.  Kids and adults will enjoy this.

Across the street is the library, and a brand new outdoor park.  We love these spots!

Drive a few minutes to Emerson Park on Snead Island to Kayak, go on nature trails, or bike trails.

Rent a sunset sailboat or boat tour out by where the Riverfront restaurant is.  Quite a few options there!

That’s pretty much it.  It’s a small Old Florida town, but you are a few minutes to Bradenton, Anna Maria, St. Pete, and Sarasota.  I think it’s a great perch to explore!
