I’m always on the hunt for special heirloom keepsakes.  Both for my own children, friends kids, and god children.  The idea of something that will last the test of time, or possibly be passed down to the next generation is a happy thought.  Even though I now I have a six and eight year old, I still look to get at least one thing that’s heirloom quality for Christmas.  We’ve had our Petite Keep heirloom trunk for a year now, and while I’ve been collecting things to put in there, I’ve let them use it as a place they can stash their most prized stuff.  What I find in there is absolutely hysterical sometimes.  I’m like, really?!  this!  So in the mean time, it makes a pretty great treasure chest.  But one day I’ll fill it with their first homerun ball, their hospital bracelet, baby bonnet, their sonogram photos, special drawing, favorite pajamas, etc.
