what was for dinner last night

barefoot contessas coconut cake, recipe found here. it was amazing.  
ina gartens easy lobster paella.  but i made it in an actual paella pan instead of a dutch oven.  recipe here
it was quite a treat
OH and on a completely random note …. 
meet oscar
our disabled heron
who peers in our window in the morning
and stands outside the porch in the evening 
waiting for his breakfast and dinner
love that little heron
