What my 20’s are teaching me: Anna from IHOD

Next we have the stunning Anna from In Honor of Design!  Enjoy!!
Sarah, thank you for making this such a fun topic. It made me stop and reflect about that past few years.

I am heading towards the end of my twenties, and I can tell you it has been quite an adventure. Never expected to hit so many major milestones! I would be lying if I said I have been the same person throughout my twenties. Luckily, life events can change you, and hopefully its for the better. I am thankful for both the highs and the lows.

I fell in love for the first time.
Transferred colleges.
Experienced Heartbreak.
Earned an art studio degree.
Married my first love (whom I fall for every day).
Found our first home.
Had a baby boy (Gabriel Joseph) and experienced love at first sight.
Moved across the country.
Started my own business.
Experienced natural birth, and had a baby girl (Veronica Rose).
Moved back across the country.
Lost loved ones.
Learning and still learning how to be a mother.
These were the major ones. Hundreds of little ones fall in between. I got to experience all of this with my husband, Gabe, and each experience has taught us something new, but mainly, we don’t have control over our lives. Ultimately, I learned that I have the will to make the most of what is given to me, to be grateful for my blessings, and to keep my head high. When you look up, you won’t miss the beauty that is passing you by:) I admit, I don’t want them to end. I decided at my 25th birthday I would stay 25 forever.
I would love to know, what did you learn (or are you learning) in your twenties??

    Beautiful story. I loved this:
"When you look up, you won't miss the beauty that is passing you by."
    Oh so true.
So far I've learned that things don't always work out the way you'd planned, but that often what happens as a result is even better than you could have dreamed.

This is such an amazing series and I am so touched by Anna's sweet perspective. We certainly don't have control over our lives but I love how she makes the most out of what is given to her. So beautiful and inspiring 🙂

I adore Anna and her warm spirit! Love this statement: "Ultimately, I learned that I have the will to make the most of what is given to me…" This is something I've learned and still work on daily, choosing to be grateful!

This series is amazing. I am in my early 30's, but I learned so much about life during my 20's. Wonderful to see what others have experienced.

I think this is all great advice – but I would love to read about someone who isn't married!

Great series! I definitely learned a lot in my twenties. I wrote this post on my 30th birthday last year – 15 Things I Would Tell My 15-Year Old Self

Can't wait to see what my thirties teach me!

I have been loving this series! Being in my (late) 20's reading everyone's perspective and story has let me reflect on my own.
