Weekly Faves Volume 2

It’s officially Spring Break!  which means I’m not homeschooling this morning, and the boys are playing police driving their police motorcycle throughout the house a million times.  We went fishing, boating, and camping in the backyard this weekend.  Trying to do a different theme for each weekday during our “spring break”.  Today I’m setting up the sprinkler toys, tossing water balloons instead of baseballs for some tee ball practice and just having some redneck backyard bathing suit fun.  My other ideas are – Baking (I bought a few Easter themed baking kits), Science day – lots of easy experiments out there with some Wild Kratts for downtime, Craft Day – chalk art, easter crafts.  Welcoming all ideas (:

A free printable – note for your neighbor

free printable notes for your kids to send to their friends (it’s a great time to teach your kids how wonderful snail mail is!) … we’re finally putting some of their nice stationary to use.

painting rocks kit (you don’t need a kit if you have rocks + paint!) – there’s a club at the boys school called “kindness rocks” and throughout the year they hide rocks all over campus with happy words/inspirational sayings on them.  If they find one, they can take it home.  We’re going to do that in our yard!

it’s been two years since this post – but these STEM toys still keep my boys engaged

If you’re local and looking for a spot to donate/help – Feeding Empty Little Tummies is my choice.
