Virgin Gorda: reading, eating, snorkeling

Oh my how I love those Caribbean blues.
Honestly I think that’s my favorite thing about the BVI’s.
I did a ton of staring at the water.  and wondering how colors like that really exist.
I also did my fair amount of reading.  Four books to be exact.
Finished Interrupted (which is the only non-smut book of my trip)
finally read the fault of our stars (have tissues handy)
gone girl (couldn’t get smuttier but whoa.  what an ending)
mindy kaling’s is everybody hanging out without me? (a question I’ve asked myself a time or two)
I’m pretty proud of myself as I anticipated only getting to one book for the whole summer via my summer bucket list
We also did a fair amount of boating and snorkeling (while JB mostly dived).  One of my favorite features about where we stayed – little dix bay – is that they’ll boat you out on your own little island for a few hours – with an umbrella, a picnic lunch (that includes local lobster!), snorkel gear, and a beach chair.
Our favorite of the three island drops for snorkeling was Great Dog.  We also did George Dog and Mountain Trunk – but Great dogs reefs were just unreal.
On the island of Virgin Gorda we went to a couple different restaurants outside of the resorts.  Cocomaya was amazing!  Definitely one of my favorite meals of our trip.  Their bar has swings (!!) and is right on the beach.  All in favor of bars on beaches AND swings at bars raise your hand…. I think we should start a petition. petition the world?
A few of y’all have asked how I coped with being away from Tuck for a week.  Well, I did much better the first half of the week than the last.  But it was so nice to just spend quality time with JB and date him all week long!   Truly Tuck was pretty much on vacation the whole week having the time of his life with my cousins and mama.  And the light in his eyes and the bear hug I got when I saw him again?  priceless.
hope you all are having a great week!
