Wesley’s favorite color is red, which he’d tell you himself if he met you, because he says “my favorite color red” instead of saying hi sometimes.  So he is going to lose his mind on Valentine’s Day.  For the past couple years I make little treat bags for vday / easter / halloween for close friends kids and our god children.  Last year we made it a little project with the boys, so they could help pick out.  I really think it helps them experience the joy of giving.  So I’ll have both of them help this year with this.  Plus, just like my mom always did, we always have a couple little treats for the boys on Valentine’s Day.  Usually a book, stickers, a craft, some candy, and something I know they’d love.  The dollar store or target dollar spot is the perfect place for this kind of stuff, but I always like one nicer thing (a book, a little outfit, etc.) in the mix too.  Plus waking up to some heart pancakes (the trader joe’s coconut pancakes in particular!) with whipped cream!
