The Maras, Moray, and Chinchero Weavers

We started this day out in Cusco but made our way to Chinchero at a co-op, where we were able to see the weavers in action.  It really was incredible to see all that goes into their works of art.  From getting the wool, dying it in natural dyes, then the whole weaving process.  It gave me a new appreciation!

Then we went to the Morays.  An amazing agricultural Incan structure.  It really is unbelievable how much they did, and how they did it, so long ago.  Without google (:

Afterwards we went to the salt maras.  So beautiful!  We bought lots of salt to bring back for gifts.  Then we headed out into The Sacred Valley for lunch.  I wish I could remember the place we ate, because it had ancient artifacts, and a gorgeous garden.
