rehearsal dinner in spartanburg

My parents hosted my brothers rehearsal dinner at the country club of spartanburg two weekends ago.  Which was beautiful!  We had cocktail hour overlooking the greens, and it was just one of those gorgeous crisp fall nights.  We moved inside for dinner and some toasts.  We are all thrilled to have Katie join our family, and wanted to make them both feel special.  I have a hard time going half way on things like this, so though I tried to take a chill approach about it… I ended up not really being able to help myself.  I used google docs, which I use for everything you can imagine, to record replies, seating, table counts, etc…

{these were used during cocktail hour — the napkins I had made at shindigz, the golf cocktail stirrers from etsy (would make a great gift for christmas for a golfer) – they made a gold mirrored se since I didn’t love the other color options, and the cups I picked up while we were in Savannah at the Emily McCarthy Shoppe}

Shannon hand lettered these little tiles I picked up at home depot.  A sheet of tile was somewhere around $12.  I love how they turned out, but I love everything she does… so no surprise.

For invitations we picked Dixie Design (c/o)’s “GILD” … it turned out elegant and classy just like Katie, and they also had recipient addressing which made my life easy peasy.

We had these acrylic table numbers made, and Julie of Willow Florals did a beautiful job with the arrangements.  We also reused the Kate Aspen votives we used for Molly’s wedding in May.

For music we had a violinist from Deans duets , Sarah, who played lots of contemporary songs on the violin.  She was wonderful.

It was a special night celebrating two very dear people, followed by one of the most amazing weddings ever!
