Ponte Vedra Inn & Club with children

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club

We just got back from two nights at The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.  We went up that way (it’s a little under a 4 hour drive) to model for Nantucket Kids.  I ended up taking the boys solo since my husband was in a golf tournament with his dad.  And surprisingly it actually didn’t feel like I needed a vacation after my vacation (:Ponte Vedra Inn & Club the nursery

I asked for recommendations on IG, and got so many.  But since I was solo, I just decided to do things around the resort.  Especially since there is a ton to do!  Before I booked I had heard they had childcare, but wanted to ask specifics.  I called the nursery, and they were so patient with all of my questions.  The nursery is for 6 months to six years old.  There’s a ton of toys, planned crafts/activities at certain time of the day, and you can use it for 3 hours a day at a rate of 7$ per hour per child.  I used it for two hours on Saturday so I could enjoy a massage at the spa, and walk on the treadmill (which overlooks the atlantic!).  When I called they also mentioned that once a month they do a pajama party for club members and inn guests.  This months happened to fall on this past Saturday, and was Valentine’s Day themed.  I figured I’d let the kids see how they liked the nursery, and then let them decide.  They loved it, and were super pumped about the pajama party.  I don’t think this would be the case if they didn’t have each other for this sort of stuff, but if they are able to be together they are all about it.  They came back with crafts, a little treat bag, played games, had pizza and ice cream, played with tons of toys, and finished off with a movie.  It was from 6-9, and I picked them up at 8 to get them down for bed.  The staff at the nursery was amazing, and I felt the child to staff ratio was excellent.  I think you can just tell when people enjoy children and their job, and that definitely seemed the case there!

There’s also the cutest playground right on the beach at the inn.  My boys probably would have never left … but we left to grab ice cream at the Inn.

the houses along the blvd are insane!  the one they modeled at I really could NOT get over.  Beautiful architecture … and felt a little like nantucket (:

There are several different restaurant options at the Inn.   The surf club is right along the atlantic and they had live music during the day.

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club There is an adults only pool, a pool for kids with a slide, and you can also use The Lodge’s pools.  The Lodge is right next door, and it’s their sister property.

Something I loved was waking up and going to bed to the view of the Atlantic right off the balcony.  Loved being just steps away from the beach, and the resort stretches quite a bit, so if you wanted a more private spot that’s not hard to find!

The boys played in the sand and searched for shark teeth all saturday afternoon. Sunday morning we took our breakfast out there.

The spa was so lovely.  There’s a pool outside, with a bar for drinks and snacks.  It was a fun environment and would be so fun for a girls weekend.  Inside was super relaxing, and I loved my massage.  They also have a beautiful spot for lunch inside.

The staff was so friendly, kind, and helpful.  I was very impressed with that aspect!

I wanted to list out what were some of the recommendations I received through IG:

It was a quick getaway, but now I know we have to go back (:
