Madeira, Portugal

sweet little madeira on the way up a cable car
picture perfect, easily our favorite port
one thing i liked best – the locals.  little old ladies selling their flowers/produce on the side, and music all around
my eyes were huge at the market.
so many things i’d never seen before!
this photo makes me laugh.
at the top of the cable car you can find the madeiran gondaliers who push you down the steep hills in these baskets.
we stumbled upon the Dona Maria, where everything is fresh and natural as well as traditional maderian food.  Even down to their dress.  JB had a fish that lives 3,000 ft below. and we shared a delicious bottle of portuguese wine.  definitely a sleeper wine producer. some of the best comes from portugal.
at an enormous garden!  beautiful.
Hope you all are having a great Friday and have some fun plans for this weekend!

I haven't been to Madeira yet but have had some delicious Portugeuse wine in Lisbon. Really good stuff!
