My baby sisters wedding is fast approaching!  We have such similar style (I always say it’s way better than mine!), and we’ve had fun dreaming up the design inspiration along with Caroline Ruth.  There will be lots of chinoiserie, some tassels thrown in, kumquats, magnolia leaves, a wooden cross at the altar, bagpiper processions (we are morrisons after all!), a sailcloth tent, an amazing band  … things we morrison girls adore.  I can’t wait for the day, we’ve all worked so hard. I know it is going to be a beautiful day for two people we love dearly!  It ended up being over Mother’s Day weekend … which we didn’t completely factor in when picking the date.  Due to Mother’s day being one of the busiest times for florists, we had a hard time finding a florist that would work with us and wouldn’t be a fortune.  Thankfully we had already locked down Caroline Ruth Design  as our wedding planner and after seeing all her pretty florals, we booked her for the florals too.  As a back story, Caroline was my summer intern when I had my event business, we adore her and her style!  Then came the question of where we would be getting the flowers.  Last year we used Fifty Flowers for Heathers baby shower, and loved the whole easy process as well as the flawless product.  I reached out to them to partner with us on the florals, and could have done cartwheels when they said YES!  Above is our inspiration for our florals.  We have around 100 ginger jars that we will divy up all over.  My mom, sister, and I all have a ginger jar collection problem (; that’s finally being put to perfect use.  We’ll have long wooden tables with garland and florals intermixed (rented from reserve vintage) for half of our guests underneath the sailcloth tent (renting from US tent rentals) , and rounds with a grouping of chinoiserie vases for the rest.  We are using beautiful gossamer adorn ribbons with the bouquets, and some thin velvet blue ribbon for the boutonnieres.   fifty flower floral inspiration

these are the florals we’ve decided to use, and I’m going to be positively giddy when they arrive.  I really cannot wait to see it all the florals come together!  As well as all of Shannons beautiful work to be displayed AND her photography too!!   I can’t get over how much love and joy will be shared on that day.

{thank you fifty flowers for partnering on this post and with the wedding — can’t wait to share photos of the florals ASAP!}
