favorite (mostly thrift) finds lately ….

this target basket.  reminds me of those old tobacco baskets, though it’s a different shape.

My sister gave me this calendar from etsy seller redux 121 design.  I love having it next to my bed side.

I found four of these chairs for $6.99 at goodwill yesterday.  they were a brown, and I just put on the first coat of  krylon lacquer white (during naptime that is still going strong ptl!).  I went with white, though I was really tempted by navy.

I found this little bamboo pot yesterday thrifting too (for $5).  I love it!  and I love bringing green into my home more and more.

In december I bought this guy and his sister at my favorite consignment.  I just loved the colors in them.
I needed something more on the wall with my framebridge prints.  Found this frame for $3, and put in a Lindsay Letters print

target dollar spot for the win (for the xoxo banner anyway!)  // I love you one is target too // and tassels are ballard but no longer available

the before!  I am changing out the knobs in our kitchen to brass.  I mentioned it on instastories and I lot of you thought it’s just fine to mix metals.  I am already loving the change — even though I have to wait on changing the rest out because they didn’t have that many in store, so waiting on a package.  I plan to change our faucet out too.

brass knobs - quick kitchen fix

{brass target knobs} Our kitchen is the one room in the house that doesn’t get much natural light.  I feel like these knobs lighten things up, and are making me love my kitchen some more.

These capiz and gold coasters are some of my favorites.  I found them at a thrift last year.

Have you found anything good treasure hunting latley??!

Ok, those white chairs are AMAZING! Is the seat upholstered or wood? And those gold knobs are perfect. Gold has always been my metal of choice, so I love that it’s really coming back into the mainstream. Thrifting is so thrilling. Thanks for sharing your finds!!!

Also, my in laws have a house in Naples, and they have so many awesome thrift stores!! I have gotten multiple pairs of brand new j crew shoes for like $5, Duke has gotten some really nice shirts, and they have a lot of home furniture consignment stores that I’ve always wanted to shop at but unfortunately I can’t fit a couch or dining table on an airplane. 🙂

Thank you Amy Grace! (: The chairs are upholstered, so I need to go look at fabric for it. and yes – so glad gold is back, and I hope here to stay.

Since I don’t get very far from Manatee Avenue my favorites are Community Thrift, and the manatee memorial hospital thrift. I found the chairs at Goodwill on manatee. Now is a good time to go because I feel like so many people are clearing out!

Saaaade, I love it all! Those pretty chairs!! This makes me so happy to read because I’m already getting sad about the prospect of being an ocean away from my antique market here. I’ll have to get back into thrifting, something I used to adore! And how many times can I say it… I want to come over for coffee.

What a find on those chairs! You’ve inspired me to use some of my babysitting hours to get back in the thrifting hunt! LA is the midcentury thrifting dream but it’s a little more challenging to find more classic, traditional styles.

I get about 2 and a half hours when I have no kids every week – and I mostly use it to go thrifting! Probably not the best use of my time, but I enjoy it.

I would LOVE to go thrifting in LA. I bet it is so wonderful!!
