When I was in grad school at Ole Miss my sister and I would go out to Taylor, Mississippi, the cutest little town with a saturday morning farmers market, an adorable shop, our favorite restaurant at the time, and the southern living idea house.  I went to that idea house, happily forking out ten dollars, a handful of times.  I was so in love with it.  Apparently you can even rent the idea house out now for the weekend.   Who wants to go tailgate in the grove in the fall and stay here? (: Yes, please.   This image isn’t from that idea house but from another SL one.  I saw it in the magazine a few years ago and was like THIS.  this is what I am going for.  I probably pinned this a dozen times prior to that “you’ve already pinned this” being developed.   It’s just perfect to me.  It’s the image I always go back to for inspiration.  We are working on this kinda feel – kick your feet up, a bit beat up, and that cozy lived in look.  But still pretty classic, somehow.  One project by project at a time.   Just wanted to share it.  Maybe you love it too?
Some other favorites/thoughts lately:

these new mom cards … and this whole blog about motherhood.

going to make this crockpot meal next week.  sounds so good!

I asked y’all on facebook which leggings are the best.  Most said lulu, but I had a nordstrom giftcard from christmas burning a whole in my pocket, so I picked out these zella ones from there.  I love them!  but apparently lulu is better?  I don’t even know how.  They are so comfortable!  And then my girlfriend was wearing the spanx ones which looked soooo good on her.  so basically, they are all winners.

I read someone’s new years resolution was to learn to put contacts in.  I instantly loved them.  I’m terrible at it which is why I’m always in glasses.  These new warby parker ones are lovely.  The kimball in whiskey tortoise are my current ones.  Which is probably my most asked question on IG.  I just go to walmart to get my prescription every year for $50, and then get a pair from WP for $95.  Beats what I used to pay by a ton!

I have been audible obsessed lately.  especially since tuck goes to school two mornings a week, and wes usually takes his two hour nap during that time.  The power of vulnerability – I can’t recommend it enough!!  I just finished Scary Close by Donald Miller, and I’m now onto The Child Whisperer.  Any favorite parenting books?

In between my binge of Fixer Upper (how cute are jo and chip?!), I’ve been getting my bachelor fix.  I don’t get into every season but this one is good.  Ben seems so normal and nice!  I cannot get over Olivia – so much second hand embarrassment.  I just wanna give her a hug and tell her to not say everything on her mind.  “Ben Higgins IS my husband” … reminds me of the “i will find you” girl on the movie wedding crashers.

Shannies work is now in Hallmark (online and in stores)!!  Go check it out!  They are gorrrrgeous.

Now off to clean up my redneck backyard (so many plastic toys. everywhere.) for Camp Tuck tonight!  He’s so excited for his party!!
