deeelicious.
I hope all of you mamas out there had a wonderful mothers day!   Mine started out a little rough but still sweet – it started with a bang, at 1am, with a sick Tuck.  JB cleaned Tucks sheets, the floors, and him- while I got to comfort him afterwards. He wanted me to hop in the tub with him after all of this, so there I was, in the tub.  at 1am with my sweet sick toddler who just wanted hugs.  Tuck has been sick only a handful of times so I’m always a total wreck when he does show up with a symptom or two.  It was hard knowing that I needed to nurse Wesley but I wanted to snuggle Tuck, and that’s all he wanted – mama.  I also was a freakshow over if Wesley could get the bug.  But that’s motherhood, right?  It’s generally never glamorous, and more often than not you have someone’s snot rubbed on your shirt, but you become the most selfless version of yourself because of these tiny people.  But by morning all was well with Tuck it seemed.  I got to sleep in – as much as you can with a nursing infant!  JB and Tuck brought me flowers, breakfast in bed, and the cutest homemade card.  We ended up going to brunch with my in-law’s and dinner with my family.  Loved spending the day with all the mama’s!
PS:  Don’t think I could ever forget about you.  especially yesterday.
You are the one fresh with a miscarraige, the one who would just like to see two pink lines one of these days, the one who is waiting on an adoption to go through, the one with another round of IVF, the one who lost her mother, the one who has a rough relationship with hers, the one who lost a child… I wish I could hug you.  I wish I could say the right thing.
But until I figure out what that is, my prayers will have to do.
