spring inspired chocolate chip cookies

It’s the last month before Wesley arrives and I’ve vowed to treat myself.  I get tuesdays allllll to myself thanks to my mother in law which sometimes feels down right gluttonous!  On that day I am usually busy as a bee but for this last month I am trying to take it easy; go to lunch with friends, wander around target, surprise JB at work, kick my feet up, nap if I want to… eat chocolate chip cookies (:  I was going to make my own icing with natural dyes but I couldn’t find the toll house rolled and ready dough.  It’s probably at your store but just hasn’t made its way to gulf coast florida.  Enter chocolate chip cookies!  Washing it down with a glass of (whole) milk?  If I close my eyes, I’m pretty sure I’m in heaven.  I just used the easter cookie cutters on the little pre made slices.  just about 10 cookies.  I have (generally) quite a bit of self control when it comes to sweets but not if they are already made chocolate chip cookies – so the remaining stayed in the bag to be cooked and gobbled at a later date.  + warm cookies?!  fresh outta the oven?!  the best.

I should have taken these guys out about one minute sooner since they are so tiny.  But they were still tasty, just not as pretty.  Which is pretty much par for course with anything I bake.
Big thanks to Nestle Toll House Ready and Roll for sponsoring this post!
