my life as a working mama // the dream i’m working on

I am thankful to do work that I love.  Grateful for the couples I get to know through the process of planning their weddings.  One thing I’m glad I’m not is short sided.  When I started this journey a little over a year ago, I’m sure it looked asinine to many.  But I started this biz up with a vision in mind.  it fits into the dream I’m working on.  And one of my goals is to be doing this work that I love when I’m old and gray, to some degree.  I hope it builds and evolves but never gets so big I forget what’s important.   My ultimate goal is to love my family well and live a life with Grace.  That’s really it, and the rest is sugar on top.  But it is some pretty sugar, isn’t it?

I actually worked a week after Tuck was born.  You can call me crazy, it’s been said before.  And the last two weekends as Tuck is now Two Months, we’ve had three weddings!  To see them all come together, from vision to reality, some that we’ve been planning for over a year – is. just. SO GOOD.  for my soul.  Witnessing them pledge forever does it for me, and reminds me each time about what is important.

I don’t work full time.  I have monday’s off.  I  have help.  I could work from timbucktwo if need be.  I can take on less/more.  I get to work in my yoga pants, with my hair a mess most days.  With a baby nearby who needs feeding and changing and loving.  That’s reality, friends.  I am not going to pretend it is easy or tell you I haven’t had to make some tough decisions.  or turn exciting offers down.  But it does work into the dream I’m pitching away at.   And I do work with incredible couples who trust me.  and let me dream big.  I love them for that and many other reasons.

Now… some pretty pictures from my STE instagram
