Christmas on Easter!

For the last nine {!!!} years my BFF's from high school have had a Christmas exchange.  Due to Cami being in Sweden this year we pushed it to Christmas on Easter.  The year before, it was Christmas in January, since I was away in Panama.

Generally whenever anything is super cool in my home or on my bod, it was a gift from these gals.
they've got great taste.  but even better hearts.  how did I get so lucky?   I am blessed beyond words by their friendship.   I have had them by my side in every season of my life. how can I ever express how grateful i am for that?    I treasure their love, support, and patience with me more than I can express.
The older I get the more I realize how rare it is to have friendships like this.
They are something to pray for, something to protect.

  2. Such a great idea! And kudos to you and your friends for being able to keep it up for 9 years - so easy to fall out of touch these days!
I am struggling to keep my friendships alive living in Africa without constant internet, 7 hours time difference and only 1 visit home per year. I really do miss having girlfriend get togethers!

  5. I have some fantastic friends of my own and I always feel so blessed to have them. It makes me sad when I hear others say they wish they had good friends, it's definitely something I try not to forget about!

  11. my girlfriends and i do the exact same thing. i think this past year was #10 for us? that's our best guess. but it is one of my most favorite traditions ever. it is the best to get together with the besties to exchange gifts and have perfect fellowship!

  12. that is wonderful! I wish me and my old friends would be still this close. We kind of are, but are seperated by massive amount of km... Doesnt make it easy. But I love how you can meet after months not seeing each other and then simply start where you left off. Truely something amazing and precious!

  13. What a lovely quote! :)
I bet it was even more fun exchanging gifts for Easter instead of doing it on Christmas...spreads the joy a little further into the year that way!
