Beach Wrap Tutorial

someone asked if i could do a tutorial for this little bikini wrap.
and i took them up on it.
today was probably not the right day to do so.
i have no make up on and am in sweats and my hair. ha ha ha, well, you'll see.
this is probably going to go on an epic fail tutorial blog somewhere.
but this is what i look like the majority of the time. isn't jb so lucky?
 i value being real to you more than having you ever think i'm perfect.
because perfection is kinda boring, no?
also, i'm soo not perfect, therefore it is unattainable as well.

Suisse Saturday

Truth be told i've been in a little funk.
post vacation blues along with the fact that reality is going to strike soon.
i had my once every six month cry-a-thon which was therapeutic.
While I cry JB tries to make me laugh, and it works, but then i go back to crying,
which causes us both to laugh.
it's so cute.  i tell you what.
ok so it's actually not cute.  I look like a total freak show when i cry.
Anyway, the funk was short lived.  thank goodness.
I do know in my heart that fear is the opposite of faith.
The future is bright - wherever we end up.
Today we went to the flea market and then down to markplatz to buy some produce.
 i love old things and fresh veggies.  what an odd combo.
{steve madden boots, j.crew riding leggings, f21 knit top, old navy sweater, flea market riding helmet}
two in love bikes (:

put this on the list of things i wish i would have bought.

there's that mint vespa again ... love finding her.
we stopped in for JB's fave beer - Leffe Dark
i love this guy/ the fifth beatle.

Hope you're all having a lovely Saturday!
Just you wait for monday - something sooo fab is going to be given away - maybe it'll be to you! (:

Hvar, Croatia

We spent two nights on Hvar Island in Croatia.
Which is supposedly the new Ibiza.
We stayed out until 11 one night.  So I guess it is ... for us.
The first day we were beached whales.
We jumped off rocks into the adriatic and lounged on beach chairs.
The second day was one of our favorites!  We rented a boat to see the Pakelini Islands for ourselves.
JB really wanted to get the more expensive boat that went faster.
I wanted the cute boat.  and it just so happened to be cheap. (only $65 for 12 hours!)
JB says I do not have champagne taste, only cute taste.
it's true.
i love finding JB relaxed, totally content, laying on rocks.
cuba libre

Hvar Town
cutest boy and boat ever.
yes it was a little tree house.  where i took in a pina colada.
& this was the view!
crack kills . . .
there's the highlighter dress again.
a man came up to me during this trip and told me i could be a prisoner, stop traffic, and a traffic cone.
there's the pose again (:
picnic on the boat in the middle of nowhere.

no need for lip augmentation ... cheaper option: just wear a snorkel mask.
This last picture isn't in Hvar... but I just think its sweet.  So its staying put.
Hope you are all having a great Friday!
We have been laying low and watching james bond movies all day ... <3

Split, Croatia

We arrived early in the morning.  Just getting to the airport was a bit tricky as the trams were not running until 4:55 AM and our flight left at 6!  So is the life when you get super cheap airfare.  We biked to the train station and then took a bus that took us to the airport and caught our easyjet flight to Split.  We arrived into Split, found our b&b relatively painlessly and to our luck, our room was ready.  We stayed at Kaleta Apartments and couldn't say enough good things about our time with them.   The apartments are situated within diocletians palace walls and the buildings themselves are over 500 years old.  After a little nap that day we then went exploring.  We spent some time in the markets. The croatian women yelling in their slavic tongues are a little scary but the whole experience is more fun than frightening.  I bought our breakfast for the next two days for 20 Kuna, or $4.  Which included fresh eggs, on the vine cherry tomatoes, garlic, an onion, and milk.  You guessed it- JB made us up some delicious omelets each morning.  Most of our time was spent wandering around Diocletians palace and eating ...
 of course.
Split is rich in history, culture, and yummy seafood.
Around every corner you find turquoise shutters, Bougainvilleas, and clotheslines.
Which is the bulk of my photos (:
We had a hard time leaving but knew the next adventure awaited us.
{they sell their homemade olive oil in used bottles}

{seafood risotto - YUM}
{hiked up to the top of the tower- gorgeous views of Split}

{one of the doors to diocletians palace.  quite an entrance, huh?}
{JB and his cream.  Me and my corn- which is a dalmatian specialty.
They sell it on the streets - roasted or boiled}
{the fish market was one of JB's favorites!}

Splits "Riva"

{h&m dress, bracelet given by BBFF Megan }
{one of these days during dinner i said something and to add emphasis i made this pose.  JB found it hysterical.  He's now adopting it as his signature pose as he said his is getting tired. ... i have a whole post coming on his possible new poses.  my husband is a ham and i love it}
{oh and PS, we're in Diocletians basement here}

{Trogir, Croatia ... next stop (: }
