Easter Best

{dress: tracy reese, watch: michael kors, shoes: stuart wietzman, earrings: target}

this is the first ever tripod photo ...
and let us just be honest -photoshoots with yourself in your kitchen are flat out awkward.
so are the length of my roots.
i know you're all saying "omg girl, get thee to the salon"
i promise, i'll go ... one day.

this dress.  was a steal at Loehman's. as in $40 kind of steal.
Tracey Reese - all silk and lace.  it's just divine.
and for me, the perfect Easter Sunday dress.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter Sunday!!
He is Risen!

random nonsense

warning: random post ahead of you.

tulips remind me of merian park
then i get really nervous, like i'm missing something.
will they still be in bloom when i arrive?
 i hope so!  hold ooooon tulips, i'm coming.
this little u-pick is right down the corner from my street.
i live in the country
or so it seems.
i always made fun of this side of the river, and now the joke is on me, i call it home.
i am all for cheese.
this gift for my fave bride to be might be a little cheesey but i think it is always fun to say your future name.
in grad school i probably doodled it 1000 times... future mrs. tucker.
grad school!  i am ashamed.
shirt via weddingchicks
this really happened.
the billboards by my house are as follows:
"want your bad boy home?  1800bailout."
"strong relationships survive" - with a picture of a lion and a couple on a couch?
"cremioso y delicioso"
"bigger is better"

i didn't take this, but my father in law did.
i want to frame it in my house.

i've been lusting over getting these for Heath  for two years now.
so pleased with them.
they exceeded my expectations.
find them here

i was able to assist/carry a shootsac for  my fave photographer /house guest, jessica lorren.
look at those roots.
am i the only person who gets attached to their roots?
it's pretty weird how i actually start to like them a little.
this week we've been cooking up okra.
its so fresh, doesn't need much.
just olive oil, salt and pepper. sauteed.
annnnnnd i think this is my biggest crowd pleaser yet.
who knew kids liked okra?
i also made kale for another class - they kept asking for "fourths".
music to my ears.

this was taken in Live Oak, FL.  at a Walmart.

last easter i was in Lugano for Easter.  With JB.
i'm missing JB so much lately.
even more than before, though i didn't think it was possible.
he's skiing this weekend in the swiss alps.
i don't like skiing but i do like drinking hot cocoa while taking in the view.

anyway, this weekend is as good of a time as any to say:
Jesus Loves You.
... this i know.

I thought I'd share some of our trip down to Roma and of the wedding.
taaaaake me back husband.  pretty please.

{kisses underneath the spanish steps}
That wedding.  talk about a fairy tale come true.

Apothica Giveaway

I am so excited about this giveaway!!
 Make-up gets me really excited.

First, I want to tell you about my favorite eye make up.
It's too faced natural eye kit.
I first bought this kit back in 2009 and slipped it in my little sisters stocking.
She's the expert on all make up so I figured if I she liked it, then it was really good.
She introduced to her friends, and I broke down and bought one for myself.
Its even what I used on my wedding day.
It soon became my go-to present for my friends who love eye make up.
Whenever my eyes look made up on this blog, it is due to too faced  natural eye
I simply don't use anything else.  (:

{bonus: or maybe not a bonus: ... but a video on how I put my eye make up on is here}

As far as other products I use from SkincareRX:
I love Jane Iredale's anything.  Absolutely no parabens, completely non-toxic, and you'll feel like you're putting silk on your face.
Also, I thought maybe I'd miss out on all of the samples Sephora gives me, but  I received so many quality skincare samples.
I am hooked!

So maybe you'd like a gift certificate to Apothica to get whatever pleases your heart?
You're in luck.  Because one of you will win a $25 gift certificate!

There are many options to give you a chance:

{separate entries for each please}
 Visit & tell me your favorite product
Write on Apothica's Facebook wall about what you think of Apothica
Tweet about Apothica on your Twitter Account
Write something on your blog about what you think of Apothica
 Write about Too Faced and link it to Apothica

Good luck!!

swiss anticipation

Two posts in a day.  So, sue me.

I'm so anticipating my trip to Suisse.  The countdown is in effect.  27 days to go!  I've been laughing about how I have become a true snowbird.  Constantly chasing the best weather.  We arrived back from Switzerland to Florida in November, when the weather is just right.  Then we left in December as soon as it got a bit cold, and headed to Panama.  Then we headed back to Florida once it warmed up.
Soon I'm arriving in Switzerland during the perfect weather while I escape the Florida heat just in time.
Hi, I am an 80 year old in a 27 year old body.

Soooo... here are a few things I'm looking forward to:

{alpine cow petting}
{reuniting with my bike and riding through switz, france, and germany in a single day.}
{seeing merian park in bloom}
{Consum for the best cheese platter a monger like me could ever ask for}
{not having to drive.  just ride!}
{evening wine on the Rhine}
{swiss hikes with this guy}
Most of all I'm looking forward to just having JB back.
 This guy is the cream skim milk to my coffee.
Can't wait for another summer abroad traveling with my favorite person. ever.
What are y'all anticipating?

I have come down with a case of major girl crush. and chances are you will too.

So sometimes I wonder if Sophie is a real girl.
She seems to good to be true.
Just read some of the things she loves:
  • my grandma's sponge cake, the smell of freshly ground coffee, thunderstorms, crunchy apples, the smell of rain, dreams, jimmy choo, christian louboutin, europe in the summer, europe in the winter, love song dedications, ice cream, cadbury hot chocolate, my mum, my little cousins, hotels ...
She finds beauty all around her and I get the sense that she does not take any day for granted.
annnnnnd, can we just talk about homegirls style?
It is complete and utter perfection.
Oh, and she's pretty easy on the eyes too.   As in reallllly easy, like in a  drop dead gorg way.
I'm convinced all "Sophies" are gorgeous, stylish women.
Genetic superiority going on with the name there.

oh my gorgeous, right?

After seeing what Sophie wears there's no excuse for me to dress boring this morning.
I'm filled to the brim with style inspiration.  Hope you are too!

Hope you all have a lovely wednesday!

sophie, can i have your hair?
