Swiss Alps

my heart does back flips at the sight of sundown.  Anywhere.  It is never an ordinary sight.
Oh, the alps.  Even on a cloudy day, amaze me.
Sun-up and sundown, easily me two favorite times of the day.  isn't this true for most?
Ahh the world ... getting ready for bed or waking up.  It's beautiful.
we enjoyed yummy cheese fondue at the Bellevue
and an alpine beer (:
one day, i will be brave enough for this.
we had a little picnic here!  nice spot for one, huh?
i love alpine houses.
Lauterbrunnen is gorgeous and covered in waterfalls!
and the most famous waterfall of the area - Trumelbach.
Last Friday we traveled to Lauterbrunnen and Murren up in the Swiss Alps.
We had such a fun day of hiking and breathing in the fresh mountain air.
I am a total summer beach baby - but the alps could change this.

Beach or Mountains: which do you prefer?

  19. bahahah your asking to pick ONE? well, hubby and I live in rural suburbs, so when we sell this house, we plan on renting ON THE BEACH for a few years, then have babies and move to the mountains..so both, is what i pick. And you make it increasingly difficult to plan my Europe trip- I want to go everywhere you post pictures of!!! such problems to have, right?? :) have a WONDERFUL day!

  20. i could definitely turn into a swiss mountain giirl like you.

but the beach has my heart for now :) and not typical, resort-y beaches. im talking about the kind that no one knows about! although that's hard to find lately.

  49. Living in Queensland, Australia, where the coast is full of the most beautiful beaches in the world, you would think I'd have to say beach, but after visiting the Tatra Mountains in Poland (as well as the Swiss Alps) I'm definately a mountain girl. I love the air in the mountains. It's always so fresh and cool. And the views - just spectacular!
