Frenchie Friday

I'm a weird bird in that i love to grocery shop.
whole foods tends to send me over the edge in sheer bliss.
so i headed into france for a little trip to the Gaent.
basically, frances walmart.
I could write an entire thesis on the bane of walmart.
for one, the lighting.  that darn fluorescent lighting.
it drives me craaayzeee.
and makes me look like a zombie.
...
BUT every now and then I crave a little americana in my life.
i had to see what the frenchies version of walmart was all about.
verdict - loved it.  despite poor lighting too.
for their cheese selections alone i will go again.
ohhhh everything really is better in france.
going to make a proper cheese plate tonight!
oh my YUM.
xoxo

...
over HERE guest posting too!

  4. We have a french chain of stores similar to a Target or Walmart here in Singapore called Carrefour (they sell everything from bikes to clothes to home decor to groceries), and their cheese section is great! I can get good cheese from France even out here in the middle of Southeast Asia.

  5. Ha everything is SO much better in France! :D You're making me crave delicious cheeses and a fresh baggette! I don't like the US Walmart either! BUT I am sure if they made it more like the one in France, I would love it more! :)

I said this exact thing yesterday at work. In my own ways of course but nonetheless I went through my reasons for loving to grocery shop, and making my list, and having my little grocery budget.. So so FUN. If only I had the funds to go buy some grocery right now and put on some heels and pretend to feel healthy walking around wholefoods :). hahaha

Glad you love France so much! I cant stand the fluorescent lighting of anystore. That is something I have held with disdain since childhood before I knew what it was that made me irritated in these places. hahaha Be blessed girl :)...
