Reminder: Wear Red Tomorrow

Just reminding everyone to wear red tomorrow, February 4th, to show support for the National Go Red For Women Campaign.  Many people, especially women are unaware that heart disease is the number one killer of women age 20 and over, killing approximately one woman every minute. More women die of heart disease than the next four causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer.  You probably know many people who have heart issues and  i know you want to support them.  And just in case you don't know anyone, you virtually know me. (:
Below is my story:

  6. fortunately, i look great in red. (:

i'm on critical cardiology right now, and i had a patient with endocarditis this week...this person's aortic valve is shot. such a sneaky, horrible disease it is.

so glad some good doctors patched you up so i could have the chance to meet your pretty little self in oh, 45 days.

  10. what a powerful post sarah! thanks so much for putting yourself out there and sharing that with us! heart disease awareness is something that i hold near and dear because my dad passed away from his 2nd heart attack when he was 42 (me-i was 7). it is sooo important that men and women are aware of this disease and are supporting those who are going through or have gone through it.

once again thanks for sharing! :)
