strolling through casco viejo

yesterday i was all smiles even though the water had been shut down for 48 hours.
hence the greeeeeasy mop of hair i am sporting in these photos.
still, i had to show you.  i finally found my skirt I had been searching for.
10 bucks at forever 21.  It is now my go to travel outfit.  / everyday outfit.
paella for lunch sounds pretty good to me.
not too shabby of a view.  {JB & the cityscape}
the bridge of the americas.

While yesterday was all smiles, last night i was informed my ninny (grandmother) is in ICU, and those smiles turned to tears.   She doesn't recognize a soul and is having seizures to no end or solution.  My eyes are puffy and my heart is heavy.  I do trust that God will provide for her but i still feel so helpless here, so far away.
If you want to send prayers or love her way.  it would be so appreciated.

On a brighter note, I  hope you all are having a great Wednesday!
And enjoying it wherever you might be.

  1. oh my goodness. my biggest fear is that something will happpen to a loved one or relative while i'm living so far away....i can't imagine how sad you are feeling. :( i will remember her in my prayers today for sure. and on a brighter note for you - that skirt is absolutely INCREDIBLE and i only wish i could look as cute with a mop of greasy hair! :) hope you and your husband are having a good day, despite the sad news.

  23. Sarah, I am so incredibly sad to hear about your Ninny. I cant imagine how hard it would be for you at the moment feeling so far away and distant from your family. Its lucky you have someone like JB who i am sure is there being the most supportive person in the world. and you also have God and all of us who love your blog sooo much, praying for you and your family. I hope everything is ok!

    However, on the plus side....you look absolutely gorgeous! that maxi skirt looks so amazing on you, and i wouldnt have noticed the greasy hair - i still dont even after you mentioned it haha. you look so stunning in that photo of you looking out of the window.

    and also....may i ask...how to you stay so incredibly skinny? haha. all that travelling in food eating - i would be 200X your size haha.

    all my love and wishes
    xx
