barcelona; eating, drinking, and sight seeing

trying out my very first glass of sangria.
certainly not my last.

we enjoyed every last drop.

tapas
squid, octopus, cuttle fish, and calamari
at the mercat de mercat we tried tons of different cavas (sparkling wine) and tapas for under 6 euros a person
i might have had one of these ... (:
jb on las ramblas
my favorite
la sagrada familia.  can't wait till it is done!

Barcelona is quirky, beautiful, and massive.
you could never get bored here since there is always a building or a new restaurant to fall in love with.

Definitely a top 10 european destination in our humble opinion.

Hope you guys have a happy wednesday.
We're going on the boat and doing a little fishing here ... and later I'm getting my hair done.
chopping it off.  can't wait!

  12. can i just say that your day of fishing and hair-doing....to say nothing of your beyond lovely images de Barcelona...make my day spent on the air force base seem quite menial?

you haven't lived until you've listened to the pounding of soldier's boots in basic training. and the lovely crooning of a drill sergeant's bark.

thanks for being you, SGMT. and giving us all a little loveliness to aspire to.

  22. Hi there! I've been reading your blog for awhile, and living vicariously through all of your European living and traveling. Certainly something we would love to do. Do you have recommendations of places to stay in Spain? I can't quite figure out from these Spain posts if you were staying on a cruise ship the whole time? There is a possibility that we'll be heading to Spain in March for a week. Itinerary is still up in the air but I'm gathering recommendations on accommodations, if you have any!

    Thanks,
    Amanda
